About Keith Begley
Keith holds an MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology (Distinction) from the Institute for Psychology of Elite Performance (IPEP), University of Wales, Bangor. He is a Level 2 Accredited Athlete and Coach Education Tutor (GAA) with Coaching Ireland since 2007 and has worked as a teacher of Physical Education and Home School Community Liaison since 2003.
Based in the midlands (Tullamore, Co Offaly) he is easily accessible from most parts of the country.

He has published peer reviewed scientific research on attentional focus for elite athletes and more recently, designed and delivers a bespoke performance psychology education module for the GAA's national coach education programme. This module is for nationwide delivery of the Award 2 GAA coaching course in both hurling and Gaelic football.
Keith has a strong coaching background, particularly in GAA sports. Previously, he has acted as a manager, skills, and strength & conditioning coach with various sports teams (GAA, basketball, rugby & soccer) from development level to senior inter-county level.
He also has a strong background and experience in positive mental health and has presented to parents, community groups and young people on issues around mental health on issues such as anxiety, depression, exercise deficiency, social media / gaming addiction and general well-being. More info here:
From a playing perspective, Keith has played hurling competitively to University (UL) and club senior level (Co Clare), while he has played soccer to club junior and university senior level. He has also played gaelic football and rugby competitively and is a keen golfer (when the time allows) and keep fit enthusiast.
Husband and father of four, he lists summiting Mt Kilimanjaro, winning the Norwegian Epic Table Tennis Tournament and coaching a team of novice misfits wearing pink jerseys to a national Gaelic football title as some of his more novel sporting achievements!
