"Unleash Your Potential"
Picture
I have played hurling for over 20 years and been involved in coaching teams for the last 15 years. I realise now more than ever, that it is essential that you give players and management the best you can give. It was no coincidence that we got Keith to help us with performance psychology with Cuala senior hurling team, as we sought to maximise the potential of a hard working group of players as they successfully navigated their way to Dublin, Leinster and All Ireland Championships in 2017 and 2018."  Greg Kennedy - Former Galway hurler and Cuala Senior Hurling Coach 2016 - 2018

"Keith has designed, developed and delivered the "Performance Psychology" module for our Award 2 Coach Education Programme in both hurling and football since we introduced them in 2015. Having sat in on the sessions personally, it is clear that Keith has huge experience and strong knowledge base in the area of performance psychology, leadership development and coaching in general. These sessions help us build effective leadership capacity within our Dublin GAA coaching structures and our coaches take an awful lot from his sessions. We will continue to use Keith in this capacity and I would highly recommend him if you are looking for anybody to work with your team or athletes in the area of sport psychology or performance psychology"    Ger O'Connor - Dublin GAA Performance Manager

Throughout 2017 & 2018, Keith was a great sounding board for my Carlow management team and helped us to create the right environment for success . He played a huge part in facilitating the players to achieve their potential, which snowballed into some powerful displays in Croke Park. We won the Christy Ring Cup in 2017 and won both Division 2 of NHL and Joe McDonagh Cup in 2018. Throughout the two years Keith gave many valuable work-shops & support sessions for both players and team management. These included Leadership and Management Development, Goal Setting, pitch based practical attentional focus workshops among other aspects of performance psychology. I would highly recommend him in providing a high level performance  psychology support to any team, athlete or management. Colm Bonnar - Carlow Senior Hurling Manager

"I would highly recommend Keith & the service he offers teams. Keith was part of our High Performance Unit on the road to All Ireland Junior title in Croke Park in September 2017 & aided us in our mental preparation throughout the season with extremely valuable sport psychology workshops. Keith is highly professional & the work he did was hugely instrumental in the Westmeath Camogie team winning the All-Ireland.   Johnny Greville - Westmeath Camogie Manager 2017

“I trained under Keith for 2 years with my club Lough Lene Gaels. I always found training sessions to be very well organised and insightful, with drills and exercises having clear goals and focus. His attention to detail in training drills always fascinated me - how important such minuscule skills and precise movements can be in the breakdown of the sport, and when these are corrected and mastered, can achieve great success. We improved significantly under his direction winning the league in 2017. We reached county semi finals in both years, losing by one point twice to eventual county champions in 2016 & 2017. This was a significant improvement for our club as we were struggling to make semi finals before his involvement. I couldn't recommend him highly enough”    Tommy Doyle - Westmeath Senior Hurler

"I began working with Keith around sport psychology with a view to improving my mental toughness in match situations. I never realised that I would get so much out of the sessions. I found myself really energised and excited about my game after the sessions. The relaxation and imagery sessions were superb in getting me in the zone for championship and it also made me understand how big game anxiety can affect performance. I find the self talk and cue utilizations very helpful for my free taking and still use them. Keith really made me feel comfortable and it helped that he had played the game at a good level and understood the feelings and subtleties of the game. I couldn't recommend him highly enough."  Shane Dooley - Offaly Senior Hurler
"I had followed Keith's online articles for some time before deciding to work with him. He had discussed ways of dealing with pressure situations like taking frees and this really appealed to me. We successfully worked on some personal issues around confidence and set goals for other areas for improvement e.g. recovering from injury, win breaking ball, shooting accuracy and concentration improvement. Using Keith's interventions, I got back to a place of loving the game again. I am an active member of Belgium GAA and now use Keith's tips in a coaching & managerial  context to help improve others. I would recommend him very highly in a sport psychology or coaching capacity."   Declan Treanor - former Dublin Senior Footballer

I worked with Keith at underage levels through schools, development squads and Offaly minor football squads. During all those times I felt Keith was a very organised and hard working coach. The biggest compliment I could give him is you always felt confident and prepared going out to play a match, thanks to the physical preparation and sport psychology work we did before games and it always made you feel a step ahead of your opponents. As a coach he trained you hard but always got the best out of you and was a great speaker and motivator. He played a huge part in my underage success and development as a footballer.         Shane Tierney - Offaly Senior Footballer
In over 20 years coaching experience, one area that I have seen huge scope for development in, is the human mind and behaviour. Motivation, goal Setting, concentration, relaxation and confidence are now key elements to aid high performance in any sport. I have worked with Keith over the last 4 years with adult club senior teams in Connaught and Leinster. During this time, his input has been a complete eye opener both to me and the players he has worked with. Keith's experience playing senior club hurling in Clare, along with extensive coaching experience gives him a huge advantage in understanding the dynamics of a GAA dressing room environment from a players perspective. As a top sports psychologist, his understanding from his own experiences as a player is in my view, the reason players completely buy into the importance of sport psychology and where a positive mindset can take you. I couldn't recommend Keith highly enough. Joe Kenny, Senior Hurling Manager, Kilnadeema-Leitrim 2018, Galway.

"I must admit, upon first meeting Keith, I was sceptical as to his motivation to coach our University of Wales Gaelic Football Team. Why would anyone want to coach us? We had significant limitations regarding player personnel, facilities and financial resources. Despite our vast limitations, Keith managed to develop our group’s mindset into believing not only could we compete, but that we could win. This ultimately culminated in us winning our first ever British Universities GAA Championship in 2011. Having had first hand experience of his coaching sessions, it is abundantly clear that Keith has vast expertise in the areas of coaching, performance psychology, and leadership development. All of our sessions allowed us to trust him in building an effective game plan and a robust team spirit along with individual and collective leadership capacities. I am and will undoubtedly continue to work with Keith at every available opportunity regarding development of my own coaching. He is an individual that I would highly recommend if you are looking for anybody to work with your team or athletes in the area of sport or performance psychology.”         Jarlath Glynn, Castlebar Mitchels GAA & University of Wales, Bangor.

Thank you Keith for all you have done to help. As a championship Irish dancer, my daughter's feis day performance was not reflecting her effort in class and manifested both physically and mentally. After a few sessions with Keith, he had pinpointed the underlying issue and worked with her on a competition day plan which was extremely effective and my daughter now competes to her full potential.   Siobhan, mum of CLRG dancer.

Keith spoke recently at our schools "Family & Wellness" mental health promotion night for parents and friends of our school. From the moment he started to speak, it was very clear that Keith was extremely knowledgeable of the area and had a great command and rapport with the audience - a crowd of approximately 90 adults. Keith spoke about nutrition, health and exercise and the links between them and positive mental health, emotional well being and general wellness. He gave some fantastic practical information, examples and anecdotes and our captive audience could really relate to his delivery - with many in attendance realising that they were not on their own with their difficulties after a real honest Q&A session. Everybody left much more informed afterwards and both I and our school principal received many plaudits and thanks from parents on the nature of his talk. I couldnt recommend Keith highly enough to speak to youth groups, parents and adults alike on the whole area of wellness, well-being and positive mental health. He truly knows his stuff.      Geraldine Gaffey - Principal - St Philomena's Primary School, Tullamore, Co Offaly.

We have had a number of issues around internet safety in the school, so we
recently invited Keith to speak at a parents evening about the importance of mental health.  He had been recommended by another school principal who had worked with him previously. His presentation was very engaging, informative, clear and to the point and he gave us excellent guidance as parents, guardians and teachers to safeguard the young people in our care.  He also made the link between mental health, physical health, nutrition and exercise and the effects of social media & gaming addiction and the research surrounding it, in simple language which we all understood. Afterwards, he facilitated a very valuable question and answer session addressing parents concerns and needs.  Thank you Keith. Donna Ni Mhairtin, Principal, Gaelscoil an Eiscir Riada, Tullamore.

I approached Keith to be my supervisor when I was starting out on my journey towards accreditation. He agreed to help me out and I never looked back - I felt we were an excellent fit and our approaches aligned well. As someone starting out in their sport psychology career, I was nervous about the implementation of my interventions. I knew and understood the science behind my work, but Keith’s experience helped me to bring them to the next step and to ensure they were effective. After two years I am now accredited with Sport Ireland and while I am delighted with that achievement I couldn’t have done it without the guidance of my supervisor. The tips I learned and knowledge gained has served me well and I take these with me as a much better practitioner than when I started.  Katie Kilbane - Accredited Sport Psychologist with Sport Ireland Institute.
