Youth Athlete Development - Strength & Conditioning

Picture
Picture
The youth athlete development programme has been implemented across a variety of club, school and county teams with youth male and female athletes (ages 13 - 20). It is designed in a progressive manner to facilitate development of whole body strength and balance over a period of time. It will facilitate young athletes to develop through five progressive levels to a point where they are in a position to commence elite level training. It has a whole body focus to help prevent injury (pre-habilitation) while developing muscle strength, balance and power simultaneously.
Research has shown that the largest significant difference between an elite and club level athlete is their level of strength and power. This programme seeks to bridge this gap and gives participants a head start on their competitive peers by commencing appropriate strength training at a younger age.

There is minimal risk of injury as there are no weights involved and all exercises use body-weight resistance only.  The programme structure is fully counterbalanced from upper-body, through core and lower body exercises while it is also fully balanced through posterior and anterior muscle groups (back and front).

The programme can also be replicated by any coach of any team within a group setting using little or no equipment. The programme has been adapted into circuit format (also with 4 levels) with comprehensive resources, station cards and instructions provided. It offers you as a coach, a bullet proof guarantee, that you can deliver a high end but appropriate S&C programme to your own players for a fraction of the cost it would require to hire a professional.

If you or your team are interested in discussing this further, submit contact form below.

Other more advanced programmes are also available for older and more developed athletes. Contact below to discuss further.

Testimonial
"I worked with Keith at underage levels through schools, development squads and Offaly minor football squads. During all those times I felt Keith was a very organised and hard working coach. The biggest compliment I could give him is you always felt confident and prepared going out to play a match, thanks to the physical preparation and sport psychology work we did before games and it always made you feel a step ahead of your opponents. He played a huge part in my underage success and development as a footballer."  Shane Tierney - Offaly Senior Footballer
